  • How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
If your child is struggling with articulation, language delays, social communication, or other communication challenges, they may benefit from speech therapy. Common signs include difficulty making friends, limited vocabulary, trouble following directions, or difficulty being understood by others. If you’re unsure, we offer free consultations to assess your child’s needs and determine if speech therapy is appropriate.
  • How can I get started with therapy for my child?
To get started, simply contact us to schedule a quick consultation. During this consultation, we’ll discuss your child’s needs, answer any questions you have, and outline the next steps in starting therapy.
  • What should I expect during my first visit?
During your first visit, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your child’s communication needs. This involves gathering information from you, observing your child’s behavior, and discussing therapy goals. We will create a personalized plan based on the assessment and work with you to set expectations for progress.
  • Are your services covered by insurance?
We accept many insurance plans and work with families to navigate the insurance process. For families without insurance coverage, we offer private pay options and can provide information on available grants and funding opportunities.
  • Do you offer financial assistance or sliding scale fees?
Yes, we offer financial assistance through grants for families who need help covering the cost of therapy. We currently do not offer sliding scale fees but will try our best to help in any way that we can. Please visit our Funding Page or contact us for more information on available support options.
  • What is your approach to therapy?
Our therapy approach is play-based, family-centered, and neurodiversity-affirming. We focus on the child’s natural strengths and communication style while teaching them how to connect with others. Our goal is not to change the child, but to help them navigate the world around them in a way that feels comfortable and authentic.
  • What ages do you work with?
We work with children from early childhood through adolescence, including infants, toddlers, and school-age children. We offer early intervention programs for younger children and provide support for ongoing therapy for older children.
  • Do you offer services for bilingual children?
Yes! At Tiny Sprouts Therapy, we have experience providing multilingual therapy in English and Spanish. We understand the unique challenges bilingual children may face in communication and offer therapy in multiple languages, ensuring that each child receives the support they need in their preferred language.
  • Do you offer virtual or teletherapy sessions?
Yes! We offer teletherapy services for families who may not be able to attend in person. Our virtual sessions are conducted in a secure, user-friendly platform, providing the same high-quality therapy as in-person visits.
  • Can I stay with my child during therapy sessions?
Yes, we believe in family involvement and encourage parents to be present during therapy sessions. This helps ensure that you are comfortable with the process and can reinforce strategies at home. We also offer guidance on how to support your child’s progress outside of sessions.
  • What is AAC therapy?
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) therapy involves the use of communication devices, such as picture boards, tablets, or speech-generating devices, to help children who have difficulty with verbal communication. At Tiny Sprouts Therapy, we customize AAC tools to fit your child’s unique needs, enabling them to express themselves confidently and effectively.
